Inspiration.

Gosh.  I can’t believe I haven’t written on here in ages.  I guess you could say I got stuck in a University rut where I had a serious lack of inspiration and motivation.  I’m at that stage where I don’t really know what I want to do with my life, career wise anyway.  I’ve always been a really creative person who loves to paint, sketch and draw, but in these last 3 years, I seem to have hidden this creativeness, god knows where.  But with this fabulous weather we’re having, I’m feeling more positive and motivated and have a buzzing urge to find that creative spark I’ve lost.  With uni coming to an end, I’m freaking out about what I want to do. All I know is that it needs to be creative, something hands on that I can really get stuck into.  I think that’s when I’m at my happiest.

So, while organising myself for my visual merchandising portfolio, I found a glimmer of my creative spark creating mood boards based on upcoming trends.  I created the collages on Polyvore using images they had in their picture library which has now urged me to create my own mood boards from scratch.

I’d forgotten how much I loved looking at pretty pictures and daydreaming about being a part of that image.  As a result, I created a Tumblr account to post lots of lovely images! I find it really helpful to express what I’m feeling by posting images/quotes that inspire me and I can possibly relate to at the time.  How many of you use Tumblr to express yourselves?
